sander Hotel

The parking was convenient, and everything at the Sander Hotel felt well organized and thoughtfully arranged. Staff at check-in were friendly, professional and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed, and we enjoyed the relaxed bar area and its selection of cold drinks. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choice and was excellent. We were visiting Koblenz to meet friends I’ve known for over 50 years, so this was a special trip for us. We had a truly enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The underground parking was plentiful and takes you straight into the hotel. It has a two-metre height limit, which our large Renault Trafic fit under. From the hotel it’s a short walk to the cable car, old town and plenty of places to eat. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well kept. We missed having a kettle in the room, which we’d usually expect at this price. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I was a little disappointed that the waffle machine wasn’t out on our final morning, since I’d been looking forward to it, but there were plenty of alternatives, and the soft-boiled eggs with salmon were absolutely delicious. All the staff were friendly and attentive. A good stay, and we’d come back. Thank you!

The location is a real plus, and the low price might suit someone traveling alone who doesn't mind basic facilities. My room was tiny, the towels were small, and the single duvets and odd pillows weren't comfortable. The air conditioning wasn't great, there was no room phone to call downstairs, and the lighting could be better. There was no gym, and food was only available at breakfast. The bathroom had no conditioner and just one combined soap and shampoo.

We slept well in a comfortable room, and the staff were really helpful. The hotel is right in central Koblenz, yet it stayed very quiet. Breakfast was excellent too. We'd happily recommend it.
