Ferienwohnung am Walchensee

The apartment was clean, well maintained, and nicely equipped. It’s also in a good location.

The only real positives were the quiet location and mountain view. The busy road is right outside, though. Inside, the apartment was filthy, especially the counter and the cabinet around the bin. The kitchenette faucet was broken, the toaster setting was stuck, and there should have been a microwave. Cupboard doors sagged, the furniture was cheap, and two dining chairs were broken. The bedroom was so cramped there was no room for a bedside table. The shower screen was too short, so everything got wet, and the bathtub wouldn’t drain properly. The bathroom exhaust filter was filthy, and it’s a wonder air could pass through it. We cleaned the kitchen, fixed the cupboard doors, and improvised a shower curtain. Vinegar wasn’t enough to clear the tub drain, and the bathroom exhaust couldn’t be vented easily. This was the worst apartment I’d stayed in for years, and completely overpriced for what we got.

The landlady was friendly and always ready to help, thank you! The accommodation was clean and lovely, with a fully equipped kitchen. It’s ideally located for all kinds of outings, whether hiking, swimming, or more.
