Breakfast had plenty of different choices, and I liked having unlimited filtered and sparkling water. The hotel is cozy, with lots of areas and equipment for recreation, so it seems well suited to families who want to hike in Saxon Switzerland. During my visit, the trails were closed, which made the location less useful. I'd ask for a river-facing room, too, since guests arriving late can make noise near the parking lot.

The kids were thrilled with the trampoline and kept playing on it. We also had great food, and the staff were friendly. A really nice place for families.

We only ate at the restaurant, and both the food and service were really enjoyable. The hotel looks nice as well, and the grounds are beautiful and well kept.

It was very peaceful when I visited in April.

The location makes it easy to get out hiking, take the ferry across the river, catch the train, or visit Königstein Fortress. Everything is close by. The hotel itself is simple and clean, with enough amenities for a full day on the trails. Breakfast is basic but filling, and booking the evening buffet was straightforward. Very good value for the price.
