The inner courtyard has gorgeous hand-painted walls showing events from Constance's history across the centuries. The place feels elegant and distinctive, well suited to weddings and other ceremonies, with a beautiful view over the Lake. It's not far from the train station, yet sits apart from the tourist crowds for a more exclusive experience.

We had an apartment for our family with two kids, and there was loads of room. The hotel feels spacious and airy, which is hard to find these days. It may suit older people more, but it was a worthwhile experience in general. I'd recommend it!

The room facing the Bodensee was spacious, with a comfortable bed, and made our three-night stay a wonderful one. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. We'd visited Konstanz several times over the past decade, but this was our first stay at the Inselhotel. We highly recommend it and will return. The one disappointing part was the Zeppelin Bar. Its decor felt out of step with the rest of the hotel and a bit dated. Although it's on a corner facing the lake, the small windows don't make much of the location.

A lake-view room with a balcony is the way to go. Breakfast was very good, the staff were helpful, and it's an easy walk into town. A good hotel all around.

We were a group of 16, with young children, and every one of us loved the stay. The staff were so kind and patient, especially with the kids, and made us feel welcome the whole time. The hotel is right by the lake, with views you could keep looking at. Breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty options, and it was even nicer to eat while looking out over the water. A really memorable trip. We'd gladly come back.
