Apartment Krefeld City

The coffee was good, but the room was old, dirty, and poorly maintained, and it wasn't the room shown in the booking picture. The bathroom was old too. Parking was described as free of any fee, but after booking I was told there would be a charge.

What a disappointing hotel. There was a strong bad smell, including cigarette smoke in the rooms, and the staff were rude and aggressive. Every day we had to ask them to clean again. Once, they used a wet mop on the bathroom, bedroom, and hall. The woman at breakfast was very aggressive too. Don't waste your money here.

The beds could be better, but otherwise it's a clean, decent hotel at a budget-friendly price. There's underground parking for €10 a day, which is handy, and the staff are friendly.

I’ve stayed here twice over the past year, and both visits were really good, so I’m not sure what the bad reviews are about. The location worked well for me, about a 10-minute walk from Krefeld Hbf, and easy to get back to after a match in Mönchengladbach. I’d stay again, probably for my next match. Both times, a single room cost about €40. For that price, the amount of space is hard to beat. The rooms are old but huge, almost like a studio apartment, with a couch. The bed is small for the room, though I had no issues with it. Check-in was quick and straightforward, with instructions for getting back into the building after 23:00 when reception is closed. Shower gel and hand wash are provided in the toilet. The hairdryer is terrible, but I wouldn't expect much at this price.
