A work trip feels a lot better when you get to spend time somewhere this close to nature. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Really good.

I’ve been here three times now with my dog to get away from the city’s New Year’s Eve chaos. It’s wonderfully quiet, so quiet I slept right through the celebrations. The grounds are beautiful, with lots of open space and waterways, and the scenery around the hotel is even better. Fresh air, greenery, wildlife, and actual stars at night. As someone who lives in the city, I love that there’s basically nothing else around. I could completely unwind for a week. The apartment had a big terrace and everything I needed: two stovetop burners, a microwave with a grill function, a fridge with a freezer compartment, dishes, and cutlery. The place is a bit rustic and dated, but it’s functional, more than adequate, and the price reflects that. The owner’s team were friendly and made an effort to meet guests’ wishes. It all felt welcoming and personal, which I thought was fantastic.

Our room on the first floor was clean and tidy. My wife, our dog, and I spent five nights at Landhotel Kreien in a double room. There are several ponds, including one for swimming, and a soccer field, so it’s a good spot if you’re after a quiet break. It also works well as a base for day trips by car, which is what I’d recommend. Breakfast was OK for us.
