The location was the best part for me: a relatively quiet neighborhood with traditional apple wine taverns, cafes, and a couple of great cocktail bars. Tram and S-bahn lines are just a 6-8 minute walk away, and I’d stay here again. It’s definitely a budget hotel, but good value. The rooms are small but clean, and the beds are firm, which I liked. There’s no AC, but I was there in May when temperatures were moderate. My room had a mini fridge but no microwave, kettle, or coffee maker. Service was friendly, and breakfast was quite nice, much better than the awful continental breakfasts we get in the US. At €9,50, it was worth it and got me out the door without a hassle.

The room was usable and the shower was warm with good pressure. For what I paid, it was fine. Still, there was a lot of dust, stains on the pillows, and dead bugs in the bedsheets. The shower’s metal parts were badly deteriorated.

It’s hard to beat the price for this location. There’s a lovely park one way, and the river and highlights of the old city center the other, making it a very strategic spot for walking around. The check-in window, or “lobby,” isn’t somewhere to impress business clients. Car traffic was very light, though people at nearby bars and cafes could be lively. The noise and timing were reasonable, and it wasn’t past midnight. The bed was cosy, the shower had great pressure and temperature, the Wi-Fi worked well, and there was a little refrigerator.

Good value for the price, with modern, clean rooms. The hotel is among lots of small shops, cafés, and restaurants. We skipped breakfast and had it at a nearby café instead.
