We had plenty of room in the wide, comfortable beds, and the location and price were both great for the surroundings. The apartment has a huge garden with places to sit, free parking, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and very good Wi-Fi. Check-in can be late and is self-service. The bath was great too, with lots of hot water and a strong flow. There were cobwebs throughout the apartment, though. The windows need better shading because a lot of light gets in early in the morning. The towels were so thin that they got soaked and unusable quickly, so more are needed.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and there’s free parking right in front of the house. It’s a quiet place surrounded by nature, with each apartment having its own terrace. The interiors feel modern and carefully put together while still keeping the house’s character, and the kitchen is functional. There’s even a high-tech TV with Alexa, so you have what you need to unwind. It feels like the middle of nowhere, but Bad Segeberg is less than 10 km away, with shops and restaurants closer by. Plön is 20 km away.

The only good part was how peaceful and quiet it was. The mattresses were awful, about 10 cm thick, and so cheap it felt like sleeping on the bed frame. The smell was unbearable, like an old house inherited from grandma mixed with wet dog and poop, with an overpowering apple air freshener on top. I could still smell it 24 hours later. The Wi-Fi only worked outside. I’d already had three beers, so I spent the rest of the night in the car. €44 is €45 too much. Worst experience I’ve ever had.
