Heimathafen Greetsiel

The welcome extras were a nice touch: a small bottle of sparkling wine, sweets, and bath salts. But the apartment felt cramped, and the bedroom window only opened on tilt. One wardrobe door couldn’t be opened because the bedside table blocked it, and from the toilet you could easily lean over and touch the bathtub. Cleanliness was poor. The marks on the couch and sofa were so bad I’d rather not guess what caused them. We found everything from women’s underwear to razors and deodorant. The couch was completely worn out, with two tears already patched. The mattresses sagged badly, though that’s hard to show in photos. We swapped them for the children’s room bed because otherwise we would have had to leave straight away. The bathroom border and the tiles on the right-hand side of the kitchen were just glued-on plastic. The terrace had no separation from the neighbor’s area or the walking path, so anyone could walk right up in front of the living room and kitchen. A friend of ours is offering a similar place for over €3300 in summer. Sorry, but at these prices we expect a completely different standard.
