For spontaneous trips, the 24-hour self check-in and spot near the highway are handy, and the price is okay. Just be aware that booking a room for two got us one pillow and one quilt, with no extras in the cupboard. If you're with a partner, that can mean a cold night and not much sleep.

We arrived with low expectations because the hotel looked abandoned, there was no staff around, and the place seemed past its best. The family room changed our impression: it was an apartment suite with a large balcony, lots of space, and a small kitchen. There were some utensils and dishes, but just one pan and no pot. It needs cleaning and a few repairs here and there. The room was very warm and smelled a bit at first. There are fans but no AC, and you can open the windows and balcony door. Traffic made it a little noisy at night. The beds were fine. For our one night driving through Germany, it was more than good enough. I'd recommend the family room.

This was our third visit, so I guess we're regulars now :) The location works really well for us, with a nice view over the football fields and training sometimes going on. The staff are friendly, there's parking close by, and weekdays are quiet, which is a plus. Our room was cosy, though some wear and dated decor were visible. Breakfast was basic but good, and the restaurant was decent and affordable. A nice stay.

There are tennis courts nearby, plus places to run and take long, pleasant walks. The grounds have at least two big football fields and a stadium, and it makes a lovely place to pause on a journey or bring younger or older footballers for training. It's tucked near the highway in a natural corner, with fresh air, shady trees and birds chirping. The hotel is clean, comfortable and spacious, with friendly employees, good food and a terrace. A good stop for a while. Go enjoy it!
