Seehotel Ichlim

I only ever saw one room full of guests, so this seems like a peaceful spot to get away from the crowds for a few days. I stopped twice for coffee and a snack while walking with my Hovawart, Bero. Both times they seated us in the side room off the main restaurant, with a lovely view across the lake, and the waitresses were very friendly and happy to chat. They even brought Bero a bowl of water on my first visit, when I had a café macchiato and a slice of strawberry cake. On Friday afternoon, another friendly waitress served me a Duckstein Rotblond draft beer and a delicious fish soup, more like a rich stew. I’d definitely recommend it. They were busy getting the main restaurant ready for the evening dinner and entertainment that day, but still made us feel welcome.

There were no compensation or reduction in our bill, and when we mentioned the bat in our room the next morning, the staff didn’t seem to care. The handyman also appeared to have heard about this before. That’s why we won’t return. There were so many flies and bees in the room that the hotel already felt very tired. At first it looked like a nice hotel, the service seemed alright, and the food was ordinary but good, as expected. This really isn’t good service. A wonderful place, though the rooms and toilets really need updating.

The lakeside setting is beautiful and peaceful, though quite remote. The staff are friendly.
