What stood out to me was how comfortable the hotel was. The rooms are large, and the restaurant has a lively local feel, which made my short stay very pleasant. It's pretty far off the beaten path, as we say, and the staff were accommodating when I checked in and out.

I was only there for one night, so I didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant. Other guests had very good things to say about it, though. The owner was welcoming and very friendly, and the location is lovely. I can see it being well worth a visit in summer.

The hotel is good value, and most of the service was friendly. We had a stressful arrival when we couldn't call ahead to say we'd be late, because the number we were given was wrong and the restaurant was about to close. They could have handled things more calmly.

The place can be hard to spot after dark. It's at the end of a short driveway, about 300 feet long, and parking is free. On weekdays it opens from 5 to 10 p.m., with daily specials. The food and drinks are good, and in summer you can sit outside while the kids enjoy the playground nearby. If you're cycling the Lahntal bike Trail, stay at the Hotel next door and spend the evening here.

We felt welcome during our stay and really enjoyed the meal at the restaurant next door. Service was friendly and quick. A lovely place to stay.
