Heimbach Apartments Lahr

We'd travelled for 12 hours, then arrived to find the bedding wasn't made. We had to make our own beds after paying 900€, which is ridiculous. There was dirt everywhere: large dusty patches in every corner, under the beds, in the wardrobe, and on the bathroom walls. I lifted the mop and found a pile of dirt. There was a dirty plate in the kitchen cupboard, dishes left in the dishwasher, and fingerprints on the kitchen cabinets. Spiders were in the wall, and the shower was falling apart and extremely dirty. The walls were filthy too, with patches that would take about 30 minutes to repaint. I can't believe they didn't notice. It makes me wonder how they cleaned anything else.

The Heimbach has a modern feel, with some rustic touches, and it's in a central spot near all kinds of shops and places to eat. The bathroom and kitchen are both modern and very nice. They also provide lots of little supplies that other places tend to miss, along with nice white linens. There are a couple of parking spots available. Recommended!

I can't recommend this place, especially Apartment 6. The room was in terrible shape: clogged drains, dirt in every corner, broken furniture, and a floor that didn't feel safe to walk on. When I made a complaint, which was my first phone contact after check-in, the employee was incredibly rude and insulted me. He said I was a nuisance. He kept interrupting me, so I also raised his poor communication. When I used the word "culture," he got very aggressive. I meant his way of communicating, not his background, and it's a shame he didn't understand that. Customers clearly aren't valued here. The defects are all grounds for a rent reduction under the Frankfurter Liste, but his only response was, "Well, then check out and try to get your money back through the booking website." There was no effort to find a solution.
