A handy place to rest while travelling through Germany, though it’s a bit far from the motorway. The room was generally clean, but there’s no air conditioning, so we slept with the windows open and got bothered by mosquitoes. At check-in the host didn’t speak English and seemed a bit grumpy. There’s a pizza place just up the road if you need something to eat.

The breakfast buffet was nice, and everything was tidy. We had a lovely view from the balcony. The interior wasn’t especially stylish, and the owner seemed a little senile and was hard to talk to, but everything went smoothly.

I left after one night, arriving at 22:35 and checking out at 09:28. The beds were far too short for anyone over 180 cm, with my legs and head constantly hitting during sleep. There was a stale smell everywhere, and the old furniture barely held together. We paid €125 at reception to an elderly man who could barely walk or hear. I don’t know who leaves these “4 or 5 star” reviews, but this is my first negative review. The hotel hasn’t been renovated or modernized, and the reception and hospitality were very poor. I was also worried whether the old man would manage while taking payment and showing us the room. The price per night is far too high for such an ancient hotel. The price itself isn’t the problem, though, it’s staying in these conditions. I don’t recommend it and will definitely look for another hotel in the region next time.
