We never got to try the food, and after this experience I won't be returning. We'd booked for two on New Year's Eve and specifically asked for a private table. On arrival, the waitress barely greeted us and seated us at a four-person table with two other guests. We asked a couple of minutes later if we could move to either of two empty tables for two with no reservation signs. She said they were both reserved. We apologized and said we'd leave without dinner, and she rolled her eyes and walked off without saying anything. Sharing would have been fine if we'd been told beforehand, even at the last minute, as long as it was explained politely. The waitress's attitude was what made us go. About three hours later, after eating elsewhere, we passed by again and those two tables were still empty.

The food and setting were both great. Our group didn't speak German, but the staff handled that well.

Good value, and the food was the kind of classic German cooking we were hoping for.
