The meals were a highlight, and dinner was affordable. Breakfast came with the stay and had plenty of fresh food. They also serve a local wine from about 20 km away. Hotel Lamberty has an old-fashioned feel, but I liked that about this family-run place. The furniture seemed dated at first, yet it was practical, with lots of closet and storage space, and the room was good value. The balcony was a real plus, with the sound of a loud but peaceful creek nearby. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The heat worked well, though the split mattresses might make a fitted sheet and an extra blanket or two handy if you're particular about bedding. On a return trip, we walked around and took some pictures. You notice things on foot that you miss from a car. I liked the metal art outside the homes around the hotel, and added pictures of that and the WW II memorial. It's a great spot for TDYs to Spangdalem, whether you stay at the hotel, eat at the restaurant, or both. The restaurant is SO GOOD!

We'd happily stay here again. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were cleaned every day, and breakfast was ready each morning and tasted very good.

We had a big group for a going away dinner for one of our flight members, but the food came out really quickly. It was some of the best German food we've had during our time living here. The hostess and waitress was the sweetest, too. Definitely recommend the restaurant at this hotel!

The countryside views, with horses around, were gorgeous, and the hotel was only about 10 minutes from Spangdahlem Air Base. I was there for business all week and wanted quiet evenings away from the crowds, so this was just right. My room was very nice and had a wonderful balcony. Each day they brought me a complimentary ice bucket, and I could relax with TV on my Amazon FireStick before heading to bed. The restaurant and bar were fabulous, and the lovely outdoor dining area made each evening feel special. It's a wonderful little family-owned hotel. I speak German, so I don't know whether they speak English or French, but I suspect you'd have a fabulous stay even if they don't. Cheers to everyone who made my week such a pleasure. Kudos! 🍸

Even in winter, the location felt perfect, and I was treated kindly, warmly, and professionally despite the language barrier. The room and its balcony were lovely, and the food was fabulous. I can't say enough about this gem. Highly recommend!
