The breakfast staff in the morning were cheerful, friendly, and really customer-focused. The rest of the stay was a different story. There was no air conditioning, and in July the room was like a sauna. They couldn't even provide a fan when I asked. The room was directly above the pub, so opening the window to sleep meant dealing with the noise. The little fridge didn't work either. It felt like they simply didn't care about guest comfort. I'd strongly avoid this place in summer.

We came for work and had already told them we'd arrive late. When we got there, two people didn't have rooms assigned. We were only accommodated because they had one room free here and another at the hotel up the road. No one explained how this happened, and they never brought it up at all. The person checking us in seemed very put upon throughout. The service was disappointing, though it did provide what we needed: a clean bed, a bathroom, and an okay breakfast.

A nice place for an overnight stay. The people were friendly, the pub had enough going on to keep us entertained, and breakfast was very nice too.

The shower pressure seemed a little low when I showered later and was near the top of the building. Otherwise, it was clean and quiet, and the breakfast buffet was nice.

A very good, clean hotel with friendly staff. The internet was so slow that I gave up on Netflix and got more sleep instead. That was nice too, but it's why I'm giving four stars.
