Hotel Restaurant Am Bodden

Breakfast was good, and they made scrambled or fried eggs to order. The owners were friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. Our room wasn't luxurious, but it was clean and really comfortable.

The restaurant served very good food, though it was very expensive. Our room was another story. It was filthy and dusty, with cobwebs all over, dead mosquitoes, rusty toothbrush cups and broken blinds. Even the ceiling light was just a wire frame. It seemed like nobody had cleaned the room in a long time. We stayed one night on the first weekend of 2025. A real disgrace, and I can't recommend this hotel at all.

Even with budget hotel expectations, this was a huge disappointment. The place felt neglected, from the dirty rooms and broken furniture to the damaged blinds and leaking toilet. Everything seemed unloved and without any style. The staff made it worse. They were rude and unfriendly, and their leggings and flip-flops looked completely unprofessional. There was no sense of hospitality. The stay was unbearable, nowhere near a relaxing break. Even a budget hotel should meet basic standards. I strongly advise against staying here.

The kitchen did a great job, and the food was delicious. We were there for a few days with our dog and friends for our wedding, and felt at home right away in the pleasantly decorated rooms. A few small repairs wouldn't hurt, but they weren't anything major. The service was always hospitable. Highly recommended.
