Hafenhotel zu Putbus Hotel

The harbor location made a lovely base for walks and outings. We stayed here as a small family and really enjoyed the modern hotel, including our cozy, nicely furnished double room with a great view. The food was delicious, and we also liked relaxing together in the small pool and sauna area. Staff were friendly, helpful, and capable throughout. A very comfortable, restorative stay.

I enjoyed the fresh breakfast, especially the fruit, quark, and yogurt. They can make a fried egg to order, and lattes are included. The little hotel sits right by the harbor in Putbus, with the railway and the "Rasender Roland" within walking distance. My one gripe is that parking costs extra even for hotel guests.

The peaceful spot by the water, with a view toward the island of Vilm, made for a very pleasant stay at the Hafenhotel zum Putbus in Lauterbach. Getting around by car was easy, and the staff were consistently warm, attentive, and courteous. They even lent us a charging cable without any fuss. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls from the Kruse bakery in Putbus and croissants better than those at many hotels. The breakfast staff were lovely too. We were disappointed by the extra parking charge, around €15-20 for two nights, especially since guests are often out during the day. It's understandable for restaurant visitors, but less convenient when staying at the hotel. We'd recommend it overall.
