Hotel Zum Schwanen

A lovely place to stay, with some very beautiful villages nearby.

I really enjoyed my four-night stay and would gladly return. I was in the area to visit my husband at the Schmieder Clinic, about a 10-minute drive away. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The street is fairly noisy, but closed windows and earplugs made it quiet at night. There's also a little seating spot outside the room where I could have breakfast in the sun. The manager was very friendly on the phone when I first called. I was traveling with my elderly dog, so they gave me a ground-floor room with no stairs, and even upgraded me to a newly renovated double room for single use at no extra charge. When I asked about keeping the dog's food cold, we agreed I'd bring ice packs for them to freeze. At check-in, the junior manager told me they'd put a refrigerator in my room instead. They also brought the kettle I'd asked for. That was so kind and made feeding my dog easy. I paid the agreed amount in cash by phone right away. I definitely recommend this place.

The staff were so friendly, and the rooms were cozy and very clean. Thanks so much for everything. We'd be glad to come back.

Breakfast had plenty of different foods and drinks to choose from, and the staff looked after us really well. Our triple room seemed to have been renovated recently, and both it and the bathroom were very clean. There's no minibar, but you can buy things from the stocked refrigerator in the lounge. The hotel is on a main road, though the nighttime traffic was quite bearable in the 30 km/h zone. Many thanks to the friendly staff.
