Hostel & Garten Eden

The garden out back is lovely, with tables on the deck for eating or having a drink. There's also a kitchen and dishwasher, and the location is great. Staff were amazing, the bathrooms were nice, and there were a few private’s. The hostel was spotless. I think they cleaned every day, which is very rare in most hostels, haha. As I said on hostelworld, one of the BEST hostels I've stayed at. Would highly recommend.

The garden is huge and I imagine it's really nice to hang out there in summer. The kitchen has everything you need, the showers are warm and clean, and parking is no problem. Staff are really friendly, and the new rooms are clean and each have a different style. My room, “void”, had a really nice light composition. Ask for it before you make a reservation, it's not listed online yet. Bars nearby are nice, and you can rent bikes or get to the center easily by tram. A hidden gem!

I've stayed here a few times and keep coming back. The dorm prices are affordable, and the staff are extremely friendly. Room 12 has curtains around the beds, which is uncommon and gives you a nice bit of privacy when sharing. The bathrooms, room, and kitchen are really clean. The garden is nice too, though the wifi doesn't work out there. On my last visit, other guests kept slamming doors and opening the noisy lockers in the room all night, which made it hard to sleep. Some common courtesy was missing that night.

The kitchen area could use brighter lighting, but otherwise I had a great experience and this is going on my short list of favourite hostels in Europe. The staff were kind, helpful, and friendly. It's a bit away from the center, though the trams run early and late, so that wasn't a problem.
