Haus Sonnenschein

There was a cobweb in every corner, on every window and on the thresholds. The lady charged 50 for cleaning, though it looked as if the only cleaning ever done was vacuuming the carpet. She also charged 50 for heating, even though we didn't smoke once during the week. The space was cramped: two beds in the living room and two more tucked under the roof in a corner, with only two wardrobes for four people. Kitchen utensils were kept in drawers in the living room, but there was no kettle or pans for cooking. The Wi-Fi only worked in the kitchen, and there was no washing machine for a longer stay. The lady said she didn't work with Booking, even though that's where we booked. The bill was different and higher than the Booking price. Definitely not recommended, best avoided.

The setting was quiet, near the forest, with a beautiful view. We were also allowed to delay departure a little at no charge. Still, after a weekend in September 2015, with two groups in each apartment, we had little positive to report. The Wi-Fi that was offered didn't work, and we were told repairs would cost €500-700. There was no bread roll service. Both apartments had mold in the bathrooms. There weren't proper parking spaces: only places in front of the garage entrances, which were being used for other purposes. While we were out, the landlady went into one apartment without asking, saying she was turning off the bathroom light because the fan connected to it could be heard throughout the house. With mold in the bathrooms, that was no surprise. The furniture was worn and in places quite dirty, the carpet was curling, and we found used, unwashed cutlery in a drawer. Heating was only available after we discussed it and asked.

For the 8 hours I spent in that house, it was great for me.

It looks dated, but that's fine if you don't mind.
