I stayed in the guest suite for a few days in 2016 and absolutely loved it. It was clean and quaint, and waking up to open the front windows to that amazing view was such a pleasure. Just a great place to stay.

We felt right at home here, even with the bad weather. We spent five very relaxing days in a spacious, clean room with a direct view of the Rhine. We were usually the only guests, but each morning Ms. Selt, the waitress, welcomed us with a lavish breakfast buffet and looked after us with care.

Friendly staff, and the room was fairly large and clean, though not modern. Breakfast was very basic: enough to eat, but don't expect much beyond processed cheese and bologna with overcooked eggs. Checkout was by 10, and breakfast was served until 10 too, which didn't make much sense. I've stayed in better hotels and worse ones. This place falls somewhere in the middle, a solid 3 stars.

The rooms are modern, with very comfortable beds and a great bathroom, and the landlady and staff are friendly and helpful. The house sits right on Rheinstraße by the Rhine, making it a good choice for hikers on the Rheinsteig trail. There are plenty of restaurants in town for dinner, and a good breakfast rounded out a great stay. Axel Wagener, Wolfsburg
