Hotel Frankfurter Hof

Very bad experience. The woman working at breakfast saw that I'd taken 3 boiled eggs from the breakfast I'd paid for, then checked my bag and accused me of stealing food. She even looked through the garbage on the table to see if I'd eaten them. On top of that, she was racist and asked my partner what country I came from because I'd eaten 3 eggs. Disgusting. NEVER AGAIN!

It's pretty quiet even though the hotel is on the street, and that's the one plus for me. I really came away with a bad impression, especially because of the staff member's attitude. She didn't make us comfortable using the service and made our stay less enjoyable. The breakfast fruit wasn't fresh, the bed and pillow sheets weren't changed, and over our 4 days there we got only 2 bottles of shower gel, a small shampoo, and one bottle of water for 2 people. There was a spiderweb on the ceiling too. Hope the hotel finds ways to improve its service. I won't come back.

The location near the city centre is good, but we had a very unpleasant part of our holiday here and I can't recommend the hotel. Our shower problem was reported to reception and they said it'd be fixed the next morning. It wasn't fixed at all during our stay, and the toilet in the bathroom smelled horrible. The worst part was the unkindness of the woman and owner at reception. We mistakenly thought checkout was before noon, 12 o'clock, when it was actually 10.30. When we arrived just before 12, the woman was very aggressive and demanded payment for an extra night. Her English was very bad. She said the maid had left and no one could clean the room for the next guests, which contradicted her earlier claim that we had to stay another night. She also said she'd been looking for us all morning. If she'd called or emailed, we'd have been back in a few minutes, since we were in Limburg city centre. After a difficult argument and our explanation that the demand was ridiculous, she finally agreed we didn't have to pay for another night. This whole episode was unnecessary.

It's a small hotel, around 10 rooms, and mine had an en-suite, though check first. The old stairs creak and the owner was a bit grumpy. Still, the central spot is great for exploring on foot. There's no parking at the hotel, but nearby public car parks seemed secure and were reasonably cheap.
