The location is good, but I'm not sure the price is justified. The beds made so much noise whenever I turned over that they woke me up, and the wooden floors were loud enough that a nighttime bathroom trip would definitely wake your partner. I didn't sleep well at all. You could hear the neighbor talking through the walls, which aren't well insulated. The hallway carpets were very dirty and stained. The bathtub curtain was too short and stuck to my body when I tried to shower.

We enjoyed our stay on Lindau Island, and the location was great. The room was comfortable and clean, while breakfast offered lots of choice at a very reasonable price. Our host was professional, friendly, and accommodating, and clearly takes great pride in her hotel.

There are too many rules and very little hospitality. We arrived at 2:50 pm for a 3 pm check-in, and the receptionist told us to leave and come back at 3, then shut the door while it was freezing outside. She said she was on a break and didn't want to be disturbed. If you need anything, the receptionist is only available from 3 pm to 6 pm. I wouldn't recommend visiting this hotel, especially after holidays. Also, water leaks from the shower onto the bathroom floor even when the doors are closed.

We had no hotel room in the middle of summer when we arrived at 17:30 and found nobody there. We were late and had no cell service to call about another check-in option. I'd never heard of a three-hour check-in window before. Luckily, we found much better accommodation, but they gave us no refund at all. Worst customer service ever. Talk about a scam!
