Premier Inn Hamburg City Zentrum

Mesberg U-bahn station is right outside, and it's also about a 15-minute walk to and from the station. Getting to Hamburg's sights is easy. The welcome was nice, the Premier Inn rooms were quiet and clean, and the staff were good. Breakfast offered plenty of hot and cold choices. There was lots of seating, though some of it was in the bar area with low tables rather than standard ones.

We had a clean room with lots of windows and a nice canal view. The staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast had plenty of good options. It's a nice hotel in a good spot, a fairly short walk from the main train station.

The breakfast was splendid and cost 17 Euro. The room was comfortable, but the hotel's policy of not making up rooms really put me off. I had to beg reception as a guest. That policy has convinced me not to stay again or recommend the hotel to colleagues. For a three-day business trip in Hamburg during an extremely cold spell, with nearby rivers frozen, I paid about 360 Euro. I wouldn't call that cheap.

The room was comfortable, and the evening staff were excellent: friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The morning receptionist made for a very different experience. I came by early just to leave my luggage before check-in, but the response felt abrupt and dismissive, with assumptions made before I could explain what I needed. The same attitude came up again the next day. I travel often and understand hotels have procedures, but guests should be heard before anyone jumps to conclusions. A greeting, a smile, and a moment to understand the request would have helped. The evening team's warmth made the contrast stand out. Overall, the stay was good.
