Quality Hotel Lippstadt

The room was nice and clean, with nice views, and the price was okay, though not cheap. Being the only higher quality hotel around might justify the cost. They only provided tea bags and hot water, so I had to buy a toothbrush, and there were no razors or shaving foam.

The hotel is in excellent condition and has a fantastic location, with superb value for the price. The buffet breakfast had good options, and the staff were better than at most hotels in Germany, especially given the challenges of finding staff. We highly recommend it and are sure we’ll be back.

This is a lovely, relaxing hotel, and a great place to bring the one you love. We needed somewhere like this after a so-called four-star hotel in Aachen, Europe Platz Mercury motor Inn, which was so bad. The first evening, very friendly, experienced waiters served us dinner. It’s expensive, but worth it when you get what you should. Breakfast in the lovely dining room was laid out very well. I usually have a good moan when things are wrong, so here goes. Our room was over a SMOKING Zone. A hotel this good should ask people to walk a little away from the building. I hate uncaring smokers. Then our second evening meal went badly. There were new waiters, and the food was cooked so badly that I knew it wasn’t the same cook as the first night. We couldn’t eat the half-cooked food. The duck was red raw and tough. The waiters weren’t interested, and we paid full price even though we only ate a little. Still, it’s a lovely hotel, and you’ll enjoy your stay here.

Update: the hotel's response is a perfect example of the poor service you can expect, and confirms why it deserves one star. They again claim I’m wrong, even though I have screenshots of my booking confirmation that clearly prove otherwise. Instead of questioning whether my account is accurate, they could fix the problem for future customers. I’d include the screenshot here, but it would likely be removed. If the hotel wants to contact me, I’m happy to provide it. Original review: The rooms were listed incorrectly and lacked the features stated in the listing. Staff were dismissive and didn’t resolve the problem, even though other available rooms did match what I’d booked. Double-check that you’re getting what’s advertised before you book.
