Villa Daheim - FeWo 06

I’d recommend the area, but not this villa. It’s expensive, uncomfortable, and furnished very sparsely. The location is the one good thing, and there are much better places to stay nearby for less.

The apartment is missing the feeling of someone taking care of it. It seems like making money matters more. At €100/night, the price doesn’t match the usual standards! The room is so small that you end up sleeping in the kitchen. The wardrobe had no usable shelves, though I did manage to get a 5% discount afterward. There are always two brooms and a vacuum cleaner in the hallway of an otherwise lovely house, which feels unnecessary. One mattress is completely worn out, and the two beds are at different heights. The bathroom faucet is quite old. The curtain rods are missing or loose, and there’s no sign of a thoughtful renovation. Even the large empty space above the bed could use some nice touches. It’s also inconvenient to collect the room key from the management office in another town. The management is accommodating, though, and despite the problems they answer the phone quickly and try to help.

The room smelled strongly of smoke, and the smoke detector was detached and lying on the table. The electrical outlet didn’t work. The bathroom and wardrobe could only be reached through a hallway shared with other guests. Furnishings were sparse, and the beds were completely worn out.

The Art Nouveau building has eight apartments, and you can hear some sound coming through. The holiday apartment is very spacious and sits at the edge of the forest, with a strong connection to nature.
