The vineyards around Lorchhausen have an atmosphere you just don't find elsewhere. We finally made it there, and it was about time! The Free State of Bottleneck connects, though Laufenselden doesn't have red wine this good. Hiking in the Lower Taunus is pretty nice these days too. The people at Nies winery were lovely, the wine was great, and the wine bar was beautiful. I’m looking forward to coming back. Thanks so much!

We really enjoyed the homemade wine, and Lorch is close enough to get to easily for shopping. The hosts were very friendly. It’s a small, quiet village, a nice base for hiking or cycling. The place is a renovated old rectory and a listed building.

The Nies couple are so friendly and always attentive to how their guests are doing. The restaurant at the winery is well worth trying. It’s also a great spot for setting off on hikes right from the property or exploring the region by car. The former rectory is beautifully kept, and our spacious room had everything a holiday apartment needs.

The food at the wine tavern was fantastic, and there was delicious wine available for self-service in the hallway. We’ve just come back from four lovely days at Nies winery and felt very at home. The Nies couple were incredibly friendly, and the apartment was spotless. Thank you so much!

The area is great for exploring by mountain bike, and the owners gave us some good tips about it. We spent a few lovely days in a great holiday apartment, with very friendly hosts. Highly recommended.
