B&B zum Treppchen

I stopped in during a bike ride from Bernkastel and was really impressed. Christian was welcoming and spoke good English. The food was amazing, and he let us try the wine he makes. Even though I was biking, I ended up buying a few bottles. Ten out of ten, and I’d come back, maybe even stay since they have rooms.

The food was delicious and high quality, and the wine was really great too.

You can sit inside or outside, with parasols covering both areas. The hosts and service were very friendly, and the food was delicious with excellent wine, all at great prices. Couldn’t ask for better!

There are several vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu, which is a big plus. We got a table after booking fairly late, and the place has a beautiful atmosphere. My tomato soup was delicious, and the bread with it was incredibly tasty. The service felt a bit disorganized, though. My husband’s salad came after the starter, without his main course, which arrived 15 minutes later. We’d been told the salad would come with his main when we asked about it. My tarte flambée was a little burnt and very dry.
