The decor and furniture are eclectic, to put it mildly, and the place looks like a fake medieval inn. WiFi was weak, with YouTube rarely running. Breakfast was okayish, though. Cleanliness was terrible, with dust everywhere and a strange smell in the bathroom. I’m pretty sure I saw a rat in the dining area at one point. I ended up here because every other hotel was fully booked. The night receptionist also worked as the cleaner and spoke neither German nor English.

I’ve stayed here many times. There are lots of restaurants and kebab places nearby, and the shopping areas and city centre are within walking distance. The hotel has an in-house bar and restaurant, and the pizza is good enough to satisfy you. Breakfast is the best. It’s a nice, cosy, well-maintained place, with fewer staff but very good service. The bus stop and railway station are just a three-minute walk away. A must-stay in Ludwigsburg for a competitive price. Alles gute 🤘✌🏅

There’s plenty to do in and around the hotel whatever the weather. It’s a great choice for a short holiday with children, and the food and service were super.
