Holiday Inn - the niu, Rig Lübeck by IHG

The housekeeping staff were lovely, and even opened our door for us once. The rest of the stay was disappointing. Our keys stopped working after two days, and we had to ask reception three times before they fixed them so we could get into our room. Reception staff weren't friendly, and they don't seem to like speaking English. The breakfast staff manager was very rude; the food was poor quality, the eggs were badly overcooked, and there was no fruit. At least the coffee was nice. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress kept sliding off. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Everything was wonderful while we were there. The room was very clean and the location was perfect. A big thank you to Thamer Benabdallah at reception for being so helpful and kind. We'll definitely come back.

For a short city trip, we didn't need anything more. The staff were welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the location was great. There were even some games in the room if you wanted to pass the time. We really liked the fresh style and interior, and the hotel does the important things very well.

Don't skip breakfast, especially the ginger shots! The staff there were lovely too. The hotel is right by the main station and about a 10-minute walk from the old town, with welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, very good beds, and all sorts of amenities. The design and game areas for all ages were fun. We were lucky to find it, and highly recommend it.
