The view of all the greenery was lovely, and the apartment had a really pleasant feel. We settled into Peter Pan 309 straight away. It’s only 38 square meters, but the practical furnishings made it seem much bigger. Bright, modern, and thoughtfully stocked for a holiday, with sparkling wine, chocolates, dishwasher tablets, tea lights and plenty of other nice touches for guests. The walk to the town center was over 3 km. It was a long way, though still a pleasant walk. Sadly, the lovely indoor pool was off limits because of the pandemic.

The apartment was clean, practical and well equipped, but several advertised or requested basics were missing. There was no Wi-Fi, despite it being advertised, no mosquito nets in August, and nowhere to hang swimwear after using the building’s pool or the Baltic Sea. We’d asked by phone about bicycle parking before coming, but there were no spaces. That led to significant problems with the apartment owners, and none of these issues was fixed during our five-day stay. We rented Apartment Ostseestraße 2 in Travemünde, in the larger apartment complex you own and rent out. A bottle of sparkling wine and a box of Lübeck marzipan were waiting on the dining table, and there were coffee filters and coffee too. 👍🏻 The kitchen was well equipped, and the holiday apartment itself was nice. The bed is quite narrow and didn’t really work for two people. There’s no window in the bathroom since it’s inside, and water drained poorly from both the shower and sink. The building complex has a bit of a retirement home feel.

The location worked well for us, with buses and trains nearby. We made use of the €9 ticket. The apartment, 313, was nice and perfectly adequate, very quiet and clean, though the building has an 80s feel, probably because of its age. There were thoughtful extras: the kitchen was fully equipped, with coffee filters and dishwasher tablets, and a box of chocolates and two small bottles of water were in the living room. The bathroom had a hairdryer and little bottles of shower gel and similar things. A few things need attention. The balcony door is stiff, and the mechanism could break if it isn’t looked after. Mold is appearing above the nearby window, which is unacceptable if it spreads. The kitchen walls have cooking stains and could use fresh paint. The front door latch stays in the lock, so unless you lock it from outside, the door might be left open. The larger elevator on the left needs an urgent check. Its door wouldn’t close properly. When I was leaving, I counted it opening halfway eight times before it finally shut. Pretty annoying. These are mostly minor issues, though the mold is a real concern.
