The hotel felt neglected, and the staff were rude and dismissive. Dust was everywhere in the room, and the elevator shook and made worrying noises. It’s advertised as a city hotel, but it’s more than 1 km from the center, in an inconvenient area that didn’t feel particularly pleasant. We were charged €32 for our two tiny chihuahuas, €16 per dog per day, supposedly for daily room disinfection. But during our two-night stay the room was never cleaned. When I raised it, staff said they couldn’t do anything and would clean the next day, which was our departure day. The dogs weren’t given anything, not even a water bowl or blanket, so the charge felt ridiculous. Guests get a bed, towels, a shower, electricity and breakfast in their room rate; if pets are charged for, there should at least be an actual service. Meanwhile, even basic cleaning for us was missing. I’ve never had anything like this happen at an Accor hotel before. It was embarrassing and a very disappointing experience, definitely not what I expected from the chain.

There was no AC, and we were told to open the window even though our room faced a busy street. I couldn’t sleep all night. We got there first for check-in, but people behind us waited 20 minutes while the manager ate a sandwich and made coffee in the back office. Maybe I should avoid Ibis altogether.

The staff were warm and kind, which made the stay nicer. We were also glad the hotel was fine with our two cats. Our room was small and quite cold, and we struggled to heat it even with freezing temperatures outside. At least there was a double duvet to snuggle under. A decent hotel, though the rooms are on the small side.

The room was clean, and the shower had great pressure. Staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles, and the bar had a good selection of draught beers. A handy little hotel right by the highway. Recommended.

It’s about a 25-minute walk to the city center, and there’s parking in the courtyard. The staff are kind. Rooms are functional, with some odd decor. It’s not an ambitious hotel, but it provides what you need.
