Hotel Hanseatic

I called ahead because I would arrive after check-in, and they promised to leave a key for me. I followed the instructions to enter the building, but at 23:30, after a long, exhausting day, there was no key. Nobody answered when I called, so I urgently had to find somewhere else rather than spend the night on the street. The attitude was amazing in the worst way: they didn't even bother to message me or apologize. Since I hadn't booked through booking.com and couldn't leave a review, it seemed like they simply didn't care.

Breakfast was great, and there was nothing we missed. You could also buy a bottle of beer or water in the lobby. We stayed two nights at this small hotel and found it perfect: the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean, fresh, and quiet. The TV was fairly big, though it had almost only German channels and language. The city center, restaurants, and shopping were about a ten-minute walk away. There are a few free parking spots right outside the hotel; otherwise, nearby parking was easy to find for a small charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We'd definitely recommend it!

The owner was super friendly and gave me a discount after my room had been double booked. The rooms are small and the WiFi dodgy, but it's great value for money. Try breakfast, it's much better than eating at the bakery around the corner.

The free parking right in front, with room for three cars, was a nice bonus for us. It’s a small hotel beside the bus station. I called at 8 p.m. to say we’d be a little late, and the receptionist reminded me she was leaving at 8:30, so we had to check in before then. I’d completely missed that, but luckily we made it. Keep that in mind.
