We were lucky to get a room facing the harbour, because the rooms without that view look pretty sad. Ours was clean and cozy, with a little kitchen and a Dampfbad in the room. The open shower setup may not suit everyone. There’s lots of free parking about a five minute walk away, so don’t pay for parking. Breakfast at 22-27 euros didn’t seem worth it.

We stayed three nights with our children and had a really good stay. The hotel is new and up to the modern standard you’d expect, with a very good breakfast and plenty of restaurants nearby. The location is great, and the area is dog friendly, so it works especially well if you’re travelling with a dog.

The lobby, wine bar, sitting area and hotel are all beautiful, and the style and atmosphere were lovely. The location and staff were great too. After more than 25 years of travelling regularly around Europe, this may be one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in.

Their policy says pets are welcome, but they mean dogs only. We have a dog and a cat, and were turned away at reception because they don’t accept cats or any other animals. That pet friendly wording can be a surprise if you’re travelling with something other than a dog.

The breakfast was wonderful, and the facilities were superb. Everything we wanted and more, with friendly staff and a very clean hotel. Fantastic stay!
