Classik Hotel Magdeburg

The room stayed quiet even though the hotel is right in the city center, which I really appreciated. The Wi-Fi was fast, and the staff were helpful and professional. Inside, the classic decor with a few modern touches gave the place a warm feel.

Our room was at the back on the first floor, which was a relief because the hotel sits beside a surprisingly busy, noisy road. We had two comfortable single beds and the modern conveniences we expected. Wi-Fi worked well, and they made our large dog feel welcome with bowls for water and food, plus treats. Since dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, the very helpful gentleman from the hotel arranged for us to eat in a corner of the reception area. He had first helped us find parking near the entrance when we arrived around 20:30, then did his best to keep the kitchen open for our late dinner. After a late walk along the dark but busy road, we had a nightcap in the beer garden behind the hotel. Everything was good. The hotel is on a busy national road outside any village or town, so try for a room at the back. I would have liked a small fridge for storing medicine.

A clean hotel with tidy rooms and a self-check-in kiosk for after hours, when reception isn't staffed. Pets are welcome. Handy for an overnight stop while travelling or a day trip into the city.

We ended up stopping here again at the beginning of January 2026, even though we hadn't planned to. It was right on our route back when we needed a rest, so we were glad to stay. We'd already been twice before Christmas last year.
