Draiser Hof

The room and bathroom were spotless, but arriving late and finding out breakfast wouldn't be served because of Covid was disappointing. There wasn't anything in the room for a hot drink, no coffee maker, kettle, or tea bags. We were also told the hotel had booked a taxi for our 6:00 AM departure, but no taxi showed up, and there was no way to reach reception.

Our family room for four and our dog was clean and spacious. Parking and Wi-Fi were free, but breakfast wasn't available. The shower curtain felt a bit dated and could be a deal-breaker for some.

We expected more for what we paid and came away disappointed. The water was cold on two of our three days, and they didn't offer any reduction in the price. Since it was the weekend, there was hardly anyone around to discuss the problems with. There was no phone, so calling from our own mobile would've been at our expense. We also couldn't find information that might help other guests. We raised a few points, but they didn't seem interested in our suggestions or in sharing the sort of information other hotels provide.

There was plenty of space for two adults and two children in the deluxe apartment, and it was very clean and well equipped. Just be aware when booking that the living room is a walk-through room, with a double bed, kitchen, and sitting area all in it. Our main issues were the toilet, which flushed by itself every minute, and the lack of clothing storage. The wardrobe wasn't useful for us, since it only had one large hanging shelf. Everyone was friendly, though. No breakfast was offered, probably because the COVID-19 rules kept changing and made planning difficult. There's an Edeka nearby, or you can easily drive to the surrounding area.
