Hotel Terminus turned out just fine, despite what I’d expected after reading the reviews. The room was clean and worked well, though it was dated. The receptionist was really friendly, and the location is perfect.

Please don’t stay here. It was dirty and horrible. This hotel shouldn’t be taking guests until it gets cleaned.

The owner was friendly, and I enjoyed the lively feel at Terminus Stuben, where you can have a few drinks with him. If you hit it off, he might even buy you a round, I wonder why? I wouldn’t recommend the garage, though, since cars occasionally go missing. It happens to everyone. The rooms are very spartan, with an ambiance that’s firmly 70s, just what you’d expect from an upscale hotel. The accommodations were consistently high quality, so this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. I recommend Mainz residents give it a trial stay!

The owner was very friendly, and cleanliness was okay. My room was a day older, but perfectly adequate for a business trip. The shower was the part I wasn’t happy with.

We were unsure at first because of the other reviews, but the price was great and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the hotel was. It’s a small, quiet, family-run place right beside the main train station, in a prime location. We met the owner and his wife, and he shared lots of tips for things to see and do around the city. We were really happy and would definitely book again!
