We left just 20 minutes after arriving. Coming in through the restaurant, we found stairs up to the rooms, and the guest toilets smelled of urine. Towels were also lying on a sideboard. The rooms weren't rustic, just disgusting: dirty light switches, outlets that didn't work, a grimy sink and faucet, and sheets with stains I can't even describe. The guest kitchen was just as bad, with drawers you wouldn't want to touch. This place isn't worth a single star. You should be paid to stay here, not have to pay for it.

The owner is around, but doesn't seem interested in what's happening inside or outside. Time has left the place neglected. It works for a quick rest and refreshment.

The location is handy if you want to save a little money, and the night was very quiet. I also enjoyed the great music in the garden, the clean bed, the excellent dinner, and the friendly staff.

It's a cool, atmospheric place, and I'm glad something like this has been preserved in the German Village. You could call it a house museum. The owner clearly works hard to keep everything in order. Better to come with friends so it won't feel boring. Good value for the price.
