The hotel was clean, and the staff were really nice. Self check-in worked pretty well, too. The main issue is the limited time when someone is at reception, usually 12:00-18:00. To be fair, reception staff sometimes work beyond those posted hours, and the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.

The street noise was the main downside for me. With the windows shut, cars weren't a problem while sleeping, but the tram was hard to ignore. The bathroom was really nice, and the bed felt cozy and warm. Compared with other hotels in Mannheim, the place is quite nice. Breakfast was very ordinary, just okay.

I won't be coming back. The main road is right beside the hotel, and at night I could hear the rails and people honking their cars. I only managed to sleep at 1:30 after taking sleeping pills. The hot water took a long time to come through, and the lift was still broken when I arrived on July 2, despite the notice saying it would be repaired by the end of June.

The location is very good, but almost everything else was a disaster. There was no hot water at first, and half an hour later there was no water at all. They were kind enough to refund my money. Maybe it was just bad luck on my part, and I might give the hotel another chance in the future.

I was uneasy that just about anyone could reach the different floors, especially at night. The room itself was clean, the location was okay, and reception was fine when it was open, though it wasn't always open.
