Landhotel zum Plabstnhof Garni

I've stayed in plenty of hotels, including some very good ones, and never had an experience like this. The place was clean, but the welcome was another matter. In the evening I asked for water. The older man, who seemed to be the owner, was very drunk and insisted that a real man drinks beer, then told me I wasn't one. We talked for a moment before the conversation shifted to the room's small TV. He took issue with that and threatened to throw me out. He also said I had to pay first because guests here had no rights. I found his behavior toward a guest extremely rude.

The breakfast was excellent, and the train station is just around the corner, with restaurants in the next village. That makes this a handy place to stay for Dachau or Munich. The hotel itself is tidy, clean, and cozy. Its slightly dated style fits the area, and the room and bathroom have everything you need. The little old TV is tiny as a postage stamp, though. You also can't make coffee or tea in the room, and there's no way to get it at the bar in the evenings.

The country-style rooms feel really cozy, and the bathroom is comfortable. There’s also an excellent connection to the Munich S-Bahn, and it has everything a modern person needs. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. I’ve never had this kind of hospitality at another hotel. Thanks so much, I’d love to come back.

The room was clean, and the hotel is sparsely furnished. It seems better suited to travelers just passing through who aren't looking for much in the way of hospitality or amenities. In our case, the elderly owner was drunk from 2 pm onward and seemed intent on stirring up trouble and being a nuisance. That may not happen every time, but it was our experience. The management was abysmal, so I can only advise against staying here. Maybe it suits someone who wants to hear the wisdom of a bitter old man and is prepared to put up with a lot.
