Sophia Spessarthäuser

For a quieter stay with a more personal feel, the Sophia Spessart Houses are a lovely choice. It's a great base for cycling or long walks in the woods, with Würzburg only 20 minutes away and Frankfurt about an hour away. An excellent Italian vegan and vegetarian restaurant, with delicious food for non-vegetarians too, is a 20-minute walk or three-minute drive away. The ambiance, service, and breakfast are all top-notch. It's simply a place where you can feel good.

The forest just outside makes it easy to head out for lovely hikes and walks. I always look forward to staying at the Sophia Spessart Houses and highly recommend them for a vacation. The rooms are light and spacious, with charming details, and the bathrooms are stylish. At breakfast, there's a quality organic vegetarian buffet with tasty bread and jams, spreads, cheese, eggs, and raw vegetables. The whole place feels peaceful and beautiful.

This was our third visit to the Spessart Houses in six months, and each time we stayed three nights. The breakfast buffet is vegetarian, with excellent quality and a great selection. The beds, which measure 1 m by 2 m, are especially comfortable. Furnishings are clearly not cheap, the room is very clean, and everything is decorated harmoniously down to the smallest detail, so the price feels justified. The blue paint at the Sophia Spessart Houses stands for wisdom, we're told. Weekends are very quiet, though there's naturally more local traffic during the week. The nearby motorway was almost inaudible both day and night, which surprised us pleasantly.

A really relaxing stay, with lovely hiking nearby. The vegan and vegetarian breakfast is plentiful and very good. Everything was spotless and comfortable, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
