Künstlerhaus Weissgerbergütl

The garden has a lovely view of Hochgern, and there are organic eggs and homemade organic tea available. Sabine has made the house feel special with her own paintings and all the thoughtful little decorations. She gives guests plenty of time, enjoys a chat, and is glad to suggest walks and excursions. We felt very comfortable there.

I loved being able to bring my little dog, who could run around freely in the garden. The kitchen suits the old house so well, and the place is full of lovely things Sabine has made herself. She clearly cares about the house, and she's such a lovely landlady. It feels special to stay somewhere with so much history, and I probably wouldn't otherwise have seen a house like this from the inside. The Weissgerbergütl artists' house is wonderfully cozy and unusual, with a fantastic view. The location was great for me: you can set off hiking or cycling straight away and get into nature quickly. There's a nice café just around the corner, and restaurants are close too. The garden is really inviting. I had a wonderful short break last summer and would love to come back 😃😃😃

The beds were heavenly soft, perhaps Sabine really is a little like Mother Holle 🤩. After a long day hiking, she had a thoughtful gesture for us, and on arrival she gave us such a warm welcome. She's a very friendly hostess, and also the gifted artist who created and looks after all these treasures. The house fills every sense, with a lovely fragrance in every room. There are beautiful, intriguing things in every corner: old treasures and new creations, pieces from around the world and handmade works, all made with love. We came for a few days to clear our heads, and as soon as we crossed the threshold, this charming artist's home drew us in. We could settle in and enjoy ourselves here. The Künstlerhaus Weißgerbergütl is quiet, yet an easy walk from the center of Marquartstein, with panoramic views of the Alps all around. We stayed there in July 2020, and it was an unforgettable experience. Sabine was creative, warm, and personable, with real dedication and heart. The rooms are beautiful, and the whole place feels unique and captivating. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return.
