Campus at Home

The staff at breakfast brought a lot of warmth to our stay. The woman serving was attentive and very respectful of our preference for halal food, and the chef kindly came over to check that everything suited us. Free parking was another welcome bonus. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. It was clean and quiet, and the staff were professional throughout. I’d happily come back. A small fridge, hairdryer, and luggage cart would make the stay more convenient, though.

I stayed here in 2025 and would gladly return. The rooms are lovely and the location works well for the area. When DB train delays meant I hadn’t arrived on my scheduled day, the manager and front desk team emailed me entry instructions in case I got there after hours. Later, when the manager learned I’d had trouble checking in, he came to speak with me, find out what had happened, and track down the source.

I liked the room’s architecture, and the staff were polite and helpful. Still, a few things need attention, even allowing for mistakes. There were little flies by the window, and I found a hair on the body towel before using it. They replaced the towel, and staff also offered to move me when the electronic panel by the door stopped working at check-in. A reset got it working reasonably well, though at first I couldn’t control things like the lights. The blanket felt small for an average-sized person. During my shower the water stopped, and I had to follow the staff’s instructions: turn off the shower, run the sink water for a while, then try the shower again.

The hotel is a long way from the city center, about 30 minutes by car, and getting there at night wasn’t easy. There’s no shop nearby, though you can buy water and beers inside the hotel. There are free parking spaces. It has a modern style, though it’s really a hotel rather than a residence. Breakfast was reasonable, and the staff were kind. I also liked that the restaurant wasn’t crowded. There are no complimentary water bottles, so you’ll need to drink tap water or buy some.
