The noise from the rooms, with the hotel right on the main road through town, took away from the stay. Otherwise, it’s been renovated very nicely, the staff are friendly and committed, and there’s parking on site. They also make an effort to cut down on waste in the bathrooms and at breakfast.

The Kaiserschmarren was divine, and there’s pasta or salad on the menu too if you’re not after German food. We tried two different schnitzels, both very good. The dishes have a Tyrolean twist, and the food overall was excellent. Friendly service as well.

We won’t be back. The fried potatoes with beef and a fried egg were inedible, swimming in grease, and the schnitzel was only okay for the price. The newly renovated room looked very nice, but apparently had no heating. The service felt unfriendly from the start, with no “hello” or “good evening.” Too bad, but you learn from your mistakes.

The hostess makes very good food, but she’s so unfriendly with customers that, since I’m often here for work, I might choose another hotel. Sorry, but that’s how it is. The room was nice, the beer was good, and the host was friendly. Cars on the street made the room noisy even at night, and the shower could do with an update.

My food was forgotten even though I ordered first. Then I was handed a cold, raw schnitzel instead of waiting another two minutes, while everyone I was with finished eating. The staff were very unfriendly. I’d give zero stars if I could.
