I’ve stayed here twice, and both visits were clean, cosy, and comfortable. It’s a family-run place in a lovely building, with spacious rooms that each have their own furnishings. The proprietors are very nice and do their best to meet special requests.

I came away a very happy, content Englishman. Travelling alone, I felt genuinely welcome, and the stay was comfortable. It’s a sleepy town, and the hotel is a visual delight, with each room furnished differently. If you’re tired of bland big company hotels and enjoy the aesthetics, the people, and the wonderful area, I recommend it.

The hotel sits a little way from the center of quiet Mayen. It’s a traditional family-run place, with friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms that feel traditional rather than modern. Breakfast was great, and there’s secure parking for motorcycles and bicycles.

I wasn’t staying at the hotel, just passing through with a friend and needing help. The hostess was such a friendly, sweet lady and helped us get a taxi. Thank you!

Getting there was easy, and the location and communication were good. A very nice place.
