We booked this business trip stay 11 months ahead, but on the evening we arrived the hotel sent us to apartments 2 kilometers away. There was no breakfast or parking, and the apartments were dirty, in poor shape, and very low standard. Sorting out the keys, both pickup and return, added even more stress. The whole stay was a disaster. After we had already paid, our accommodation was downgraded, and we didn’t feel treated as valued guests. We also had no way to communicate in English. I can’t recommend this hotel.

The little hotel is on the outskirts of Dusseldorf, about a 10-15 minute drive from the Altstadt (city center). The woman who runs it was very kind and willing to help with anything I asked, and she was flexible about check-in and check-out. Her English wasn’t very good, but I’d happily come back.

The restaurant food is the best in the neighborhood, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean, new, and comfortable. A good place to stop for a night or spend a few days. Recommended!

The room was tiny, though I did get a mini-fridge and the breakfast was really good. It’s a long way from the main city, but there are useful amenities nearby.
