Apartment 8 felt comfortable for our stay, and getting around without a car was easy. We bought a day ferry ticket for €21 each at the harbor and used the boats that run regularly to the other towns on the lake. The old town is about a 20-minute walk away, while Lidl is roughly 700 meters from the apartment. The place is on the edge of town in an industrial park above the center, with free parking. Inside, the newly renovated apartment and brand-new-looking kitchen were lovely. We could use the massage tables in the neighboring building at no charge. The gym was included too, but on a two-night stay we didn't have time for it. We never met the host, though WhatsApp communication worked very well.

We were four in the Lindau holiday apartment and had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were accommodating and very helpful. There's a supermarket just five minutes away by car, which made stocking up easy. We'd gladly return.

At checkout, a man and a woman showed up right at 10:00 and said we owed another €10 for an hour of cleaning and a water glass, which I assume was from Ikea. They'd gone through our rubbish and found the glass. They also said we should have sorted the trash properly, though there weren't any recycling bins. When I mentioned the lack of cleanliness, staff even suggested I leave a bad review. Unbelievable. Five nights cost around €800, such a waste of money. Off to Thailand I go...)) Apartment 8's little courtyard could have been nice, but it's used to dump old appliances and is full of vermin. There are mosquitoes, and the swatter they provide can be used on those and on the spiders all over the apartment, happily sitting in their webs. They hadn't just wandered in. The furniture is a mismatched jumble, like a flea market or junkyard. The mattress is worn and the pillows are past their best. The kitchen was the best part, and at least looked superficially clean.
