Winzerhäusle Meersburg

The house itself is special, being the narrowest house in Meersburg, and its location is fantastic. In good weather, the view presumably reaches all the way to the Alps. We had four days of continuous fog during our stay in the Mainaublick apartment, though, so we couldn't enjoy it. It's an unusual place with a lot of potential, but the organization, cleanliness, and communication need improvement. The apartment's cleanliness was unacceptable. Most upsetting was blood on a doorknob. The Asian paintings didn't fit the historic house or Meersburg and detracted from the atmosphere. We also weren't told before booking that the neighboring house was being gutted, and the construction noise was very disruptive in a spa town. That should have been shared in advance. We didn't get a guest card, even though one had been advertised. The tourist information office said the hostess knew she was responsible for issuing and providing those documents herself. The hostess was also unreachable by landline and mobile throughout our stay and never returned our calls.
